Introducing the ‘Open the Floodgates to Sustainability’ Assessment

What if sustainability was not only possible but also something you will achieve by a specific date? What if you made sustainability your goal for next year? Your organization can be sustainable. You, with your supporters, can achieve it. Here are three recommendations and a new tool to get you there:

  • Belief. Having the conviction that sustainability is possible, is not an “Oh yeah I believe it” commitment. It’s a YES. Since others do it we can too.
  • Together. Sustainability is an “all hands on deck” endeavor. Gather your best board, staff, volunteers, and supporters. Engage them to achieve your sustainability because of the lives that will be changed.
  • Start. Determine your current status. Knowing where you are now will allow you to design a realistic plan to close the gap between here and your sustainable income.

How can you determine your current status? Use this new tool: The Open the Floodgates to Sustainability Assessment. In less than five minutes, discover your current sustainability. There is no cost. Moreover, since sustainability is something you want to do with others, ask those who will be helping you to invest five minutes in taking the assessment and bring their answers to your meeting. You can discuss what they learned. Share what surprised them.

Decide that 2016 is the year you’ll become sustainable. Take the assessment now—you’ll gain clarity and be ready to plan your next step to sustainability.
