About Me
I am a digital marketing engineer, visionary entrepreneur, and philanthropist. I have been a technology enthusiast since the early stages of internet evolution when dial-up internet and website building tools such as Geocities and Angelfire were considered cutting-edge.
My career ambitions began with a passion for communication and led me to New Mexico State University with hopes of completing a degree in Journalism & Mass Media Communication. After one year, I switched to the university’s newly launched Digital Graphics Technology Program. During the two years of being hands-on in digital technology, my true passion for digital design emerged. In 2004, I completed a degree in Digital Graphics and moved to Albuquerque to start my career.
Throughout the following eight years, I worked with small, medium, and large companies in a variety of industries and roles. I worked for the city’s newspaper, an international manufacturing company, foodservice hospitality companies, media companies, and was able to launch my own music and art focused magazine. These years of experience gave me the opportunity to become an innovative and cutting-edge digital and print designer coupled with strong business knowledge and entrepreneurial ambitions.
In 2010 I conceptualized the Compassion, Faith & Kindness project with the intention to dedicate my talents and skills to donate digital marketing services to nonprofit organizations and people that contributed to the greater good. Through this endeavor, my passion for helping others emerged stronger than ever before.
In 2011 I returned to college through the University of Illinois Urban Planning to complete the Nonprofit Management program. My goal was to build upon my ability for compassionate giving on a generous scale. My passions lie in building websites and utilizing social media for start-up non-profits. This creates the opportunity for me to serve as a resource for technological advancement and to further impact of the lives of others.
Whether it is sponsoring a child in a third world country, publishing blogs and books for inspirational speakers, volunteering my design talents to creative causes or donating to local and national charities, I hope to dedicate my career to aiding in the transformation of the nonprofit world through my digital expertise.
After graduation from UIC in the spring of 2012, I also hope to become a certified Professional & Spiritual Coach to complement my Minister ordination and to strengthen my skills and ability to impact organizations and the lives of others on a deeper level.
My desire to be of service creates a powerful incentive for self-directed learning to keep abreast of the newest technologies. I believe a digital presence is the most important and most competitive marketing tool above all other marketing mediums.
As an accomplished graphic designer and web developer, my expertise lies in the desire to anticipate client’s needs, to spot what may be overlooked in the moment, and to think about what is coming down the line, not just in the way of technology, but esthetics, usability and that yet uninvented widget, gadget, and how all these variables will impact one another. I strive to provide tools that reflect the vitality of the companies and organizations I work with.
My core values are focused around the belief that kindness, faith, and compassion are the three pillars of life. Through my eyes, faith makes all things possible and kindness, coupled with compassion, makes everything easy.
