In our last issue (June 11), we talked about how you can start or beef up an existing planned giving program even if you have little time, resources or expertise. We focused on developing a marketing plan based around bequests -- essentially "piggybacking" a bequest ask on on existing ways you communicate with your constituents -- a technique that can keep your time commitment and expenses very low and won't require lots of expertise on your part.
