About Me
Marcia Smith Fleres has nearly 30 years of experience in nonprofit management, grant writing, program development, marketing, and social media. She is a nonprofit management consultant and provides services to small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.
She was a founding board member of the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership and served as their executive director from 2008-2012. She serves as executive director of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation Inc.
Recent and current clients include Tabor House in Trenton, YWCA Princeton, and the Princeton Senior Resource Center.
Marcia served as executive director of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) of Middlesex County for 18 years. She is a graduate of Rutgers College in New Brunswick and Rutgers Business School, formerly the Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
As Executive Director of the NJ Education Foundation Partnership, Marcia was responsible for providing consultation to local school districts and education foundations, conduct training programs, fund development, marketing and collaborating with businesses and other nonprofit organizations.
She is a member of the Plainsboro Business Partnership Steering Committee, an affiliate of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Mercer County Women in Development.
She has served as a volunteer mentor/advisor to the WW-P High School FIRST Robotics Team #1923 since 2008, and is a member of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Schools District Community Engagement Committee.
She was founding president of the Town Center Elementary School PTA, president of Thomas R. Grover Middle School PTSA, and Village School PTA. She served on the school district’s Strategic Planning Core Team, and continues to be an active volunteer in the schools and community.
She has written successful grants for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation Inc., UMDNJ School of Public Health, New Jersey Prevention Network, and the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. She is a former faculty member at the Rutgers Advanced School of Alcohol and Drug Studies.
