Professional speaker and trainer from 1993-present in. Have spoken to hundreds of governmental, nonprofit and for-profit organizations and schools, and thousands of people throughout the United States, Canada, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
University Teaching
Recognized as the “Outstanding Associate Instructor of the Year” for 2007 by the Graduate School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA), IUPUI.
Teach courses on Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy at both IUPUI and Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.
Nonprofit Experience
July, 2005 to Present, Manager of Proposal Development, Institute for Research and Scholarship, Butler University.
Past President, Indiana Theatre Association (ITAP), 2006-2008.
Serve as a board member of the Philanthropic Studies Alumni Association at Indiana University.
Member of the National Advisory Board for the Third Millennium Philanthropy and Leadership Initiative, funded by the Kellogg Foundation (The Center on Philanthropy).
Interim Director of the Oakwood Christian Youth Leadership Academy in Syracuse, Indiana, from 2000-2001.
Executive Director and Spokesperson from 1986-1993 for the Fourth Freedom Forum, a 501(c) 3 private operating foundation in Goshen, Indiana.
Pesident of the of the National Speakers Association - Indiana Chapter, 1991.
Media and Communications Experience
Conducted over 60 television, radio and newspaper interviews as spokesperson and Executive Director of the Fourth Freedom Forum, 1986-1993.
Co-hosted WNIT Public Television’s two-hour live talk show, Open Studio, 2001-2002.
Reported as an on-camera correspondent for the four-part PBS Series, 2000 Today, Washington, DC, 1992.
