About Me
Kimberly has spent the last 20 years working in the fields of non-profit management, fund-raising, media, and higher education. In those various roles, Kimberly has raised millions of dollars through major gifts, corporate donations, grant writing, and fee-for-service programs. As senior director with CCS, Kimberly is currently engineering the final phase of the Campaign for The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Philadelphia, PA. Over $30,000,000 was secured in the initial Campaign to build the Center. The current phase will raise an additional $10,000,000 to endow key leadership positions and best practice programs at both The Salvation Army Kroc Center and city-wide in many of The Salvation Army’s Philadelphia ministries. Prior to her work with the Army, Kimberly served as on-site counsel for a start-up nonprofit organization in Memphis, TN, where in just five months’ time she established all campaign policies, developed the case statement and all campaign collateral materials, trained 30+ campaign volunteers, identified 170 donor prospects and secured over $5.2 million for phase I of the organization’s endowment initiative. Kimberly has trained hundreds of individuals and numerous organizations in the strategic planning process, board development, fund-raising, grant writing, leadership, conflict resolution, and employee management techniques. In her various roles, she has directly advised the CEOs of organizations on highly sensitive and confidential topics and has direct experience consulting with and advising Board members. A keen communicator, Kimberly builds fast and longstanding relationships with all members of a project – from volunteers to federal legislators. Some of Kimberly’s additional accomplishments:
• Led two start-up initiatives with non-profits and two within a state university, establishing all framework for operations, including the complete establishment of a 501(c)3 organization;
• Completely turned around a failing educational division within a public broadcasting group, growing the staff from two to 30 in a year’s time, also growing the associated revenue from $28,000 to $600,000 in a two-year timeframe;
• Charged by former President George W. Bush through the National Office of Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) with replicating her teen anti-drug media campaign throughout the United States; a campaign still in existence today;
• Consistently called upon to seal-the-deal with high ranking donors, legislators and general supporters of the organizations she has served, primarily through accomplished relationship building and friend-raising activities.
Kimberly has served on numerous Boards, covering the fields of education, social service, media and public relations and she volunteers with two causes close to her heart: the National M.S. Society and the American Cancer Society.
Education:
• Ed.D. (A.B.D.), Educational Leadership and Change, Fielding Graduate University
• Master of Science, Counseling Psychology, Gannon University
• Bachelor of Arts, Speech and Communication Studies, Edinboro University
Personal: Kimberly is from Erie, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending her free time traveling, serving as a motivational speaker, dabbling in creative writing, and volunteering within the communities she serves.
