About Me
Heather Stombaugh, principal consultant of JustWrite Solutions, has served in the nonprofit sector for 13 years, developing expertise in all areas of nonprofit management from administration and fundraising to program design and evaluation. She and her team have raised more than $30 million in private, corporate, and government grants for nonprofits across the country. She has also raised more than $7 million in private donations for a variety of annual and capital campaigns. Because of her experience in clinical research, Heather is a published author in the peer-reviewed medical literature in trauma and injury prevention with publications in the Journal of Emergency Medicine, American Surgeon, Prehospital Emergency Care, Journal of Community Health, and Journal of Nursing Administration. She has presented on a variety of topics for the Grant Professionals Association, Catholic Diocese of Toledo, Center for Nonprofit Resources, University of Findlay, Lourdes University, The University of Toledo, ProMedica, Aly Sterling Philanthropy, National Council of La Raza, and Ryan White National Youth Conference. She is a an active member of the Grant Professionals Association, a federal reviewer for the Corporation for National and Community Service, a state reviewer for the Ohio Commission on Community & Volunteer Service and Ohio Department of Education, and a peer reviewer for both the Journal of the Grant Professionals Association and the Journal of Forensic Nursing. Heather is a guest author for About.com’s Nonprofit Charitable Orgs Channel, U.S. Government Grants’ Technology Grants Community, CharityChannel, The FundBook, Next Level Nonprofits, and the Grant Professional Association. A native of rural Northwest Ohio, Heather graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Education/Health Promotion from Bowling Green State University. She is a mentor for the Bowling Green State University Honors Program and a board member of Baskets of Care.
