About Me
A creative and enterprising consultant, Ami Neiberger-Miller is accredited in public relations and has focused her career on communications and capacity-building with nonprofit organizations. As a spokesperson and advocate, Ami has worked with media outlets large and small, including: CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Associated Press, the Wall Street Journal, HBO, the BBC, CBS Evening News, ABC World News, NBC Nightly News, National Public Radio, People magazine, Men's Health magazine, Salon, the Chronicle of Philanthropy and many others.
She has written several educational curricula, including a national curriculum designed to empower teens to carry out their own community improvement projects. Her writing has appeared in Writer's Digest, InSite, Quality Cities, Children's Voice, Focus on the Family, and many other publications. In 2006, she published "Peace Through People: 50 Years of Global Citizenship" with Butler Books and Sister Cities International.
Organizations with local chapters have frequently utilized Ami's skills to create customized marketing materials and training. She teaches volunteers and staff how to improve media outreach, volunteer recruitment, leadership development, legislative communication, and writing skills. She has delivered training programs for DC Serves!, the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents, Sister Cities International, the Public Issues Leadership Development Conference, the University of Florida, and the Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Life and Human Sciences.
Ami is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Independent Public Relations Alliance, and American Independent Writers. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida.
